Items prohibited in Taroko National Park: (Legal foundation: Ministry of the Interior official letter Tai Nei Ying Zi Di No.1030804384 revised on May 12, 2014.)

Burning grass and trees or using fire to clear land.

Hunt animals or catch fish.
3
Pollute water sources or air.
4
Pick or damage flowers or tree branches.
5
Carve texts or pictures on tree, rocks or signs.
6
Randomly discard fruit skins, waste paper or other pollutants at will.
7
Drive vehicles into areas outside of designated areas.
8
Other action prohibited by the national park competent authorities.


Other items prohibited in Taroko National Park founded by the Ministry of the Interior:

  1
Display, sell, transport or store animals, plants or ores or specimens/products thereof that by law may not be caught or gathered.
  2
Enter the park with guns, ropes, nets, clamps, cages, batteries, poisons and any other hunting devices that are capable of catching, killing, injuring or intoxicating wild lives.
  3
Set up retail stands, solicit business or engaging in performance around without approval.
  4
Fill and level up the ground or dump debris.
  5
Set up sacrificial areas, monuments, tombs, or hang or establish road signs or other facilities that disturb the landscape.
  6
Makes noises or hold campfire meetings or engage in other activities such as cookouts, barbeques, grass sliding, swimming, stream tracing, rock-climbing and camping outside of the designated areas.
  7
Outside of the designated areas throw away PET bottles, polyfoam, styrofoam, plastic products, metal products, kitchen waste and other objects and garbage that do not decompose naturally.
  8
Set off firecrackers, fireworks and other objects that may jeopardize public safety.
  9
Parking at will and affecting traffic order.
10
Damage public properties or facilities.
11
Release or abandon animals or feeding wild creatures.
12
Entering publicly-announced prohibited areas.
13
Taking pets into Ecological Protection Areas, Archeological Protection Areas and Special Scenic Areas (except for along the highway).
