The Taroko Visitor Center opens and service stations this morning and highway No. 8 & no. 9 info.
The Taroko Visitor Center open this morning but closed in the afternoon today(29th).

The Central Weather Bureau has already issued the Typhoon NESAT land typhoon warning, Hualien and Taitung areas will both be covered in the typhoon warning region. For the safety concern, the trails within Taroko National Park are closed after 16:00 on July 28, 2017. Estimated that the next two days(July 29th and 30th) the typhoon will be impact to Taiwan. For your safety, please do not enter mountain roads and park trails.

According to the Highway Bureau announcement, the highway no. 8 from 10:00am today(July 29th, 2017) will be not allowed to enter then it will be completely closed after 12:00pm between Taroko(at km 186.5) and Dayuling(at km 112) section for the road users safety concern and typhoon pre-warming closure procedure.

According to the Highway Bureau announcement, the highway no. 9(Su-hua highway) from 13:00 today(July 29th, 2017) will be not allowed all cars to enter then it will be completely closed after 15:00pm between Chongde and Su’ao section for the road users safety concern and typhoon pre-warming closure procedure. Then it will depends on the weather condition to announce the reopen time and date.
